communism, fascism as relates to the political spectrum?

my nephew who gets his political views from me, thank god, asked me a question i wasn’t sure of so i thought i’d put it on here and see what others think.
He asked if on the left and right political spectrum would communism be considered extreme far left while fascism considered the extreme far right. i have studied politics quite a bit and didn’t know exactly what to tell him, i think its an apple and oranges scenario but thought i’d get some feedback before telling him that,
he’s not doing it for a school project he’s almost 8 and reads history and political books when he’s not playing or in school, he’ll be President someday, we’re all very proud of his ambition towards learning as much as possible.

by agreeing with me that CAPITALISM I S RIGHT and the only true way a free-market, hence free society can flourish. evidence the past 224 years, i know its benn 233 years since Declaration of Independence was began to be to signed. the 9 year discrepency discount the Bush and Obama years because they are both undermining the constitution. thank you GOD BLESS THE USA

Fascism is simply totalitarianism - a police state.
Any system of government can operate on a fascist system. So you have Right Wing fascists *and* Left Wing Fascists (e.g. ****** and Stalin respectively).
Mussolini the Italian dictator invented Fascism. ****** liked it and encorporated it into his National Socialism, and so did Stalin.
